It's not in my budget to get a $600 Dyson, and I'm not the type who wants to spend money where it's not needed. Nonetheless, I've been curious about these higher priced hair dryers, particularly the ones that profess to dry your hair quickly. So I ordered this, thinking it was a good middle ground between the low end hair dryer that I've been using for years, and a preposterously expensive one that I might regret buying. So I'll start by saying this: I've had the same hair forever, and the same hairstyle more or less. Each of us knows exactly how long it takes to dry our hair, we do it everyday. And I can say without hesitation that I've never had my hair dried as quickly as with this device. I think it was bone dry in about 3 minutes flat, whereas normally it takes 6 or 7 minutes easily. Again, that's with my cheap low end hair dryer, which this is definitely not. It's got some interesting features. For one thing it's really quiet compared to every other hair dryer I've used. The controls are simple enough, and the blue and red lights are kind of space age-y, which is fun. There are three speed settings and three heat settings, more than enough for me. The air intake is at the base of the handle, which is unusual. The device itself is not particularly heavy and it comes with a GFI protected plug, which you will have to take into account when you are figuring out where to locate this item. (I know in my case I had to get an extra outlet extender for my hair appliances because some of them have bulky plugs.) It comes with a diffuser and a concentrator, and in both cases I think you still get a very powerful blast of air directed at your head. And that's not a complaint, the whole idea is to get the job done quickly. Which this very much does. Overall, I have to say I'm quite impressed with the sheer brute force power of this -- and as I say it's very very quiet especially keeping that in mind. My hair has always taken forever to dry. Even after I stopped dying it and grew it all out, it still stays wet for hours. This will dry hair in a flash- I have an A line bob, and it takes me 4 minutes, and that is life changing for me, but if you have any texture, wave, or curl to your hair (as I do) and aren't using the diffuser to maintain curls and want a frizz free straight look, you will still need to use a flat iron of some kind. Unfortunately the straight attachment, even with a brush, did not work for me. I put all my chips on the dryer when I first got it, had to go to a dr's appointment in the morning, and didn't plug my flat iron in, and my hair was so harsh one of the nurses asked me what my natural hair texture was. I still think this dryer is great, especially if you already have straight hair, but for us curly girls, let the iron heat up while you're drying to ensure a smooth style if that's your goal. I would have liked to eliminate the need for the flat iron, but perhaps that's just not realistic for all of us. It is a great life changing hair dryer none the less, hours to minutes is huge, and my hair feels amazing after I iron it, better than air drying and ironing alone. Lire la suite
I started using this hair dryer as a replacement for an older one, and it surprised me with how quickly it gets the job done. My hair usually takes a long time to dry, but this cuts that down a lot without leaving my hair feeling overheated. I like that it stays comfortable to hold since it is lightweight, and the grip feels easy to handle even when I move it around. The magnetic nozzle makes it simple to switch directions, and I can change the settings depending on whether I just want a light breeze or more power. The noise is not harsh, so I can dry my hair in the morning without it sounding too loud. The indicator lights are handy since they show the heat level clearly, and I find myself using the cool setting often to finish styling. It feels like a dryer that was built with daily use in mind, and it has made my routine smoother and quicker without much effort. It has four temperature settings, two airflow levels, and two mode choices, which add up to a wide range of ways to customize drying depending on hair type or style needs. The temperature indicator lights (red, yellow, green) make it easy to see which setting is active, and the memory function lets it start on the last option used, which is convenient if you usually stick to the same heat. The design is lightweight at under a pound, so holding it for longer sessions doesn’t strain the arm, and the cord length, along with the 360° rotating magnetic nozzle, adds flexibility. Since it comes with a safety-focused plug and operates more quietly than many dryers, it feels suitable for both home use and packing in a bag for travel. I do really like this blow dryer. It looks great and works fast. The area that the touches is very broad compared to my last blow dryer, which I’m not sure is a positive or a negative. I love that the attachments are held by strong magnet, so you don’t need to line them up to get them to attach. My biggest issue with this blow dryer are the buttons for the heat and air settings. The heat settings is the bottom button, but I wish it was a switch because I have yet to blow dry my hair once without accidentally pushing that button multiple times. I wish the button was either located on the inner side of the blow dryer or that it was a switch that would stay put while using. It is pretty quiet compared to other dryers that I have used so that’s a nice touch. Overall, it is a great blow dryer and it will be replacing my old one Lire la suite
